Conference Secretariat ECOC 2018, Hall 9
The conference app “ECOC2018” will be available to download for Apple and Android devices. The app contains a lot of useful general information, Technical Programme, my schedule and much more. Once downloaded, information is available in the app offline.
There is a free Wi-Fi in the conference venue called “ECOC2018”, no password needed.
Delegate coffee breaks
Coffee is included in the conference registration. Coffee breaks will be held in the following places and times:

Lunch is NOT included in conference registration fees. However, there are a variety of “Food Beverage selling points” and restaurants in the venue as well as inside the Exhibition Hall.

Post deadline Papers Proceedings
Post deadline papers will be published on Monday September 24 on the conference website and in the detailed programme on both the website and in the conference app.
They will also be announced on the Message board in Hall 9 .

The plenary session is open to all members of the Conference and Exhibition and it wil be projected in all conference rooms.

The closing ceremony, including the Best Student Paper Award and Audience Best Demo Award, is open to all members of the Conference and Exhibition.

Presenters must upload their presentations in the Speaker Room at least 1 hour prior to their talk. Please bring your presentations on a USB memory stick in MS-Power Point or Adobe PDF.
Please make sure that it fulfills the necessary requirements for the following software:
MS Office 2013 or later version (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Windows Media Player, Adobe Acrobat Reader.
The standard format of the projectors in the conference rooms is 4:3. The default slide size in PowerPoint 2013 and in the latest version is widescreen (16:9), it might be necessary to manually change this. Change the slide size from widescreen (16:9) to standard (4:3).
Please give the technical personnel any special instructions you may have when you are in the Speaker Room, not during your lecture.
Afterwards, the presentation will be sent to the room. Each room has a technician, who will assist and start the presentation for you. No use of personal laptops will be allowed. Note that there will be no presentation uploads in the conference rooms.
The poster area will be located in Hall 9. Poster presenting authors can display their poster during the day. Please remove your poster after your session, posters not withdrawn after the day will not be saved.

Complementary beverages will be served during the poster sessions.
We would like to call the attention of poster presenters to the following items:
- Each poster board is marked with a poster ID-number. Please find your poster ID-number in the Programme
- Authors are requested to use only the boards provided for their poster.
- Authors are required to stand by their posters during their whole scheduled poster session time on Wednesday and Thursday
The Demo area will be located in Hall 9, in the following date and time:

For each selected demo it will be provided:
- One rectangular table
- Two chairs
- One power outlet strip (4 outlets)
- One bulletin board
- Wi-Fi Internet connectivity (best effort)
The Conference Registration desk is located in Hall 9. If you registered for the Conference do not need to register for the exhibition as the Conference badge gives you full access to it.

There are cloakroom facilities in the Registration area, Hall 9. The organisers cannot be held responsible for damage to or loss of their personal property howsoever caused.
Other useful information
A message board is available in the conference are in Hall 9 to leave messages to their colleagues and friends.
The venue has an ATM Machine located near Hall 10. Card accepted: VISA, VISA Electron, V pay, Mastercard, Cirrus, American Express, Diners Club, Union Pay, JCB, Carta BCC, Pagobancomat.
The Press Room is located in the Room M (Minerva), Hall 10. Only press representatives correctly identified will be allowed to use this room.
There is a paramedic in the venue. In case of medical need, please come to the onsite Registration desk or go to the Exhibitor Service Desk and we will help you. If medical emergency occurs, please call 118.
No smoking policy
According to Italian law, smoking is prohibited inside all the building, venue, hotels, busses, etc. Smoking is only allowed at open air zones.
Lost-and-Found will be collected in the Registration desks in Hall 9.
